Powers: Superhuman speed, stamina and reflexes. Light emission. Northstar can create cyclones by running in circles, can run up walls and across water, and can breathe while traveling at subsonic speeds. His mutation allows him to withstand up and around Mach 10 speeds without suffering damage to his skin or breathing apparatus. He can also release a photonic cascade from his body, as bright as a lighthouse beacon.
Personality: Jean-Paul is highly nationalistic and a francophile. He loves fine dining, nice things, quiet evenings, reading, romantic dinners, outdoor sports, flying, handsome & intelligent men, writing (novels), classical music, theater, opera, classic rock, indie rock (more the SF than the NY sound), children, and dogs. Not necessarily in that order.

On the same token, JP greatly dislikes such things as rap, hip-hop, noisy, crowded places, homophobia, bigotry, mutant hysteria, all things dirty and unkempt, and cooking.

JP is a consummate businessman, and he can be quite the diplomat when he chooses to be, but he is also extremely arrogant, and usually the JP people see is the icy, cutting, not-quite-bitchy-but-close Beaubier terror. He has reasons to be cocky and arrogant, and he will be happy to list them for you

Northstar has many positive qualities, however. He is fiercely loyal, meticulous and reliable, practical and diligent, intelligent and analytical, trustworthy, noble and has a heightened sense of justice.

On the negative side of the equation, he is extremely nationalistic, can be a snob, is a workaholic. He's also a little introverted and socially shy (especially if there's an attraction; although he will on occasion blurt things out to guys he likes). This compounds his confrontational side, which he uses as a defense mechanism. Jean-Paul can be somewhat vain and conceited about his looks. He tends to show poor judgment regarding his sister Aurora, and can be blinded by his prejudices sometimes.
